Evergreen Property (Short Lets) is looking for customer service employee to cover out of hours guest communications and liaison with trades and cleaning team. The perfect candidate will be Edinburgh-based and have an intimate knowledge of the city and its sights and attractions.
Evergreen Property is one of Scotland’s highest rated Letting agencies with an equal portfolio of long and short lets. Managing over 60 short let properties and maintaining our Airbnb Superhost status is hard work and we are looking for one or two dedicated guest liaison professionals who will help over the busy summer season.
This role would very much suit a 3rd or 4th year Student looking to work over their summer break. However, we are open to other applications too.
The role is expected to last from mid-May to Mid-September only.
We are looking for one or two people for this role.,
4pm – 10pm – 3 nights a week including Friday evening.
Either morning (8am to 3pm or evening shift 3pm -10pm) on both weekend days
32 hours per week (overtime will be often be available too)
The role will involve:
Guest communication via Airbnb, Booking.com, email and phone calls.
Ensuring guests are happy, can access the property and that everything is working.
Liaising with the cleaning team to ensure all properties are ready when guests arrive.
Dealing with any maintenance issues that arise whilst on duty.
Ensuring the property managers are informed of any issues not resolved and still need work.
Using the various software to log and track guests communication and maintenance.
During quiet times, there will be opportunities for learning and working on blogs for our websites.
The role will be primarily home-based, though if preferred, you may use the office. There will also be times when you will need to go and meet guests and help out in person. With this in mind, someone centrally based within Edinburgh with their own vehicle is highly desirable – mileage is paid at 45p.
The chosen candidate will:
Exhibit excellent customer skills.
Have a good grasp of IT systems.
Have an eye for detail.
Show an ability to make decisions and also to know when to defer to your line manager.
Ideally own their own car (mileage paid at 45p).
Be able to justify decisions made.
Be part of a team whilst working individually.
Be able to problem solve and work independently to find solutions.
Be a champion of tourism in Edinburgh and Scotland, particularly self-catering.
Happy to liaise with other team members for ongoing issues.

Salary: £10.00-£12.00 per hour (depending on age and experience)
